Sunday 16th August 2009

Crieff is the second largest town in Perthshire, located on the southern edge of the Highlands. The first Crieff Highland Gathering took place in 1870. Every year, apart from the colourful spectacles of Highland dancing, pipe bands, and competitions including tossing the caber and weights, the Crieff Gathering always has a "Special Attraction". The Gathering takes place in Market Park - some of its previous famous Chieftains include actor Ewan MacGregor and footballer Denis Law. The day's events include a mix of field events, Highland dancing, pipe band and bagpipe competitions. Travel to Crieff through wonderful Perthshire scenery, enjoy a great day's events at the Gathering.
