Day tour to the Bridge of Allan Highland Games

Tug of War

The traditional gatherings for the Scottish Highland Games happen only once a year, so don't miss your chance to witness some of the country's best competitions, from Highland dancing to hammer throwing!

Sunday 2nd August 2009

Bridge of Allan, close to the historic town of Stirling, hosts its games in a great natural setting, positioned between Stirling Castle, The Ochil Hills and the Wallace Monument. The games offer plenty of traditional events, with around 1500 pipers, almost 200 Highland dancers, tug of war, cycling and wrestling but they are also well known for their Pipe Band championships. Enjoy a full day's tour to the Games in a great location.
