Moray Place forms part of a Georgian terrace in the centre of Edinburgh's New Town which has been described
as one of the finest examples of Georgian Architecture in Britain. It is only a short walk to Princes Street, the Castle,
Museums, galleries etc.
The Old Town and New Town were designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1995. The Old Town includes
the Castle, the Royal Palace of Holyrood House, St. Giles Cathedral and the old and new Scottish Parliaments. The
New Town was constructed to a single architectural plan between 1750 and 1820.
The B&B, facing south-west, overlooks not only the private gardens to the front of the house but also enjoys a
magnificent view over the Firth of Forth from the bedrooms at the back. A key giving access to the gardens and to
Lord Moray's Pleasure Garden (17 acres of garden overlooking the Water of Leith) is available for the use of our
guests.
The Accommodation consists of:
- One suite containing a bedroom (king-sized double bed), shower room and
sitting room. All the rooms of this suite overlook the River Forth to the hills of Fife.
The rate for this suite is £40 to £60 per person per night.
- One bed/sitting room with two single beds which can be linked together to form a King-size bed and en-suite shower room. This is a
large room with a very fine view with comfortable seating.
The rate for this room is £35 to £55 per person per night.
- One double bedroom with 2 single beds which can be linked and an en-suite shower room.
The rate for this room is from £30 to £45 per person per night.
- In all cases the rate for single occupancy is £35 to £50 per night.
- All prices are fully inclusive.
- All the rooms have television, a bookcase containing a variety of reading material,
a hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities with a selection of fine teas and
herbal infusions.
- There is ample parking opposite the house at a charge of £1 per hour between
the hours of 8.30am and 6.30pm. There is also all-day parking available at £4
per day to which we direct our guests once they are settled.
- Cancellation policy
- More than 4 weeks notice - no charge
- Between 1 and 4 weeks notice - 50% charge.
- Less than 1 weeks notice - 100% charge
- At all times we endeavour to re-let the rooms and if successful then only a small administration charge would be made if monies had to be returned.
