Built around 1700 The Hotel, now family run, is situated seven miles from Edinburgh in the delightful village of Roslin (formerly Rosslyn).
The present owners and licensees, took over in 1973 and whilst retaining the character of the hotel they have been continually improving the amenities ever since.
Amongst its facilities the hotel boasts four bars, six comfortable bedrooms, all with private en-suite facilities, a large function hall, intimate restaurant, private garden and conservatory.
Close to the Hotel is the historic Roslin Chapel housing the famous Apprentice Pillar and recently made famous by the Da Vinci Code. The Chapel was built in the 15th century and overlooks Roslin Castle which dates back to 1304.
Nearby is Roslin Glen providing ideal countryside for scenic walks and a peaceful getaway, with many historical places of interest. For the more energetic guests there are many nearby golf courses and a local driving range. There is also a leisure centre with a swimming pool in the nearby town of Loanhead.
Each of the 6 bright and attractive guest bedrooms has a private bathroom en-suite facilities,
comfortable beds, colour television, hospitality tray, trouser press,
telephone and daily maid service. Central heating has been installed
throughout and particular care was taken to ensure the
original character and charm of the building was retained.
