3 Star non-smoking Guest House in Edinburgh
Please quote Ref. G5
This guest house offers restful accommodation in a family home with a commitment to service. The majority of the houses in the area date from the last twenty years of the 19th century; this one was built about 1884. The stones from which the houses have been built are much older, and were formerly used in the construction of a prison some half-mile south of the present location! We are nestled in a quiet terrace between Mayfield Road and Mayfield Gardens, and are close to bus routes without being disturbed by traffic noise. Available accommodation is two double rooms, one twin room and one family room, all with en-suite facilities, as well as one single, with H&C and a private bathroom/shower located on the same floor.
There is a public room with a television and comfortable chairs for your use. A public payphone is also available. This area also has the advantage of free on street parking, a rare treasure so close to town.
We take great pride in our breakfast, which is prepared fresh in our kitchen, and enjoyed in our dining room. A full Scottish breakfast is provided, but please let us know if you have any food allergies or preferences.
You may select any from the following for your breakfast:

Fruit Juice,
Cereal, Porridge or Grapefruit Segments
Sausage, Grilled Bacon, Egg, Mushroom and Tomato
Scrambled / Poached Eggs
Cheese on Toast / Oatcakes,
Yoghurt and Fruit
Vegetarian Platter (please ask for details)
Selection of Jam and Marmalade
Selection of drinks, including -
Tea - Herbal or Breakfast
Coffee - Normal or Decaffeinated
The guest house is situated one and a half miles south of the city centre in a pleasant residential street. If arriving by air, the airport bus brings you to the main reailway station, from there you can take a short taxi ride to the guest house. If arriving by car please refer to our map.
